Emily Dodds: Founder of Willow & Rose Make-up

- What in your opinion is the “must-have” products for every woman? ( moisturiser, foundation etc...)

A great moisturiser which can also act as a primer for makeup.... you don’t always need both! An eye cream, as makeup just wont sit well underneath eyes without it. A good foundation or tinted moisturiser, concealer for under eye circles with peach tones in it, cream blusher to suit your skin tone, powder and an excellent mascara, then you are good to go!! (You can use the cream blush as an eye shadow and lipstick did you know?!)

Meet Anna Radchenko - Director and multiform artist

I meet Anna Radchenko, a London-based, award-winning director originally from Russia, for brunch at the very lush Coral Room in central London. Having followed her online, I always found Anna’s work so exciting, new, and original, which feels rare these days, especially in a society where “blending in” is the new normal. Not with Anna. Her neoteric style and fearless visuals are always so present through her commercials, fashion and art projects.

Live-r Longer & Healthier

I read an inspiring quote the other day by Edward Stanley: ‘Those who think they have no time for healthy eating will sooner or later have to find time for illness’. Wow. So much truth in such a small sentence. This got me thinking about an often forgotten and very much neglected organ with a role absolutely integral to our optimal health - the liver. Most of us are aware that the liver is responsible for detoxification, but the liver has many other vital roles. Interestingly, it is the heaviest gland in the body weighing in at approximately 1.4kg in any average adult.

Sugar Town Girls and the new era of female adult films

I watch porn. Why is it so important? 1/3 of the internet traffic is porn. In 2018, 14 billion videos were watched on YouPorn. And 29% of the clicks were from women. Let’s talk about it! We do watch porn, and we like it! But 54% of the 24,000 women that were surveyed by YouPorn in 2017 say that they don’t discuss their viewing habits with friends, and 51% of them would feel embarrassed if their friends found out. Despite that, 28% of them watch it daily and another 63% weekly.

Feminista Film Festival 2019: The Power of Setting Goals

This year’s Feminista Film Festival took place on September 27th - 28th in the Soho Hotel, London, and sold out on all three events! The festival screened a series of shorts as well as feature-length films that dealt with empowering female characters that came from the worlds of sport and art. The films involved young girls in northern Pakistan who continue their battle in fighting for their right to go to school, the establishment of the first Afghan women’s national football team, Greta Thurnberg voicing her opinions on the current climate crisis, Fiona Oakes competing in the Marathon Des Sables, and many more stories of inspiring female role models. The last event on Saturday evening closed with a Q&A session with Fiona Oakes herself, moderated by Katie Goldfinch.

Frenchie trainee diary - by Léa

Hi there guys and gals! How are you today? I’m Léa, a frenchie camera trainee born in London, and raised in France. I moved back at the age of 17 to my birthplace to step into the fabulous and frightening world of filmmaking! I studied in EaIing for about 2 years, learning to become a semi-independent semi-adult during UNI. After a big post-graduation freak out I decided to jump in and start networking, putting my name out there and working wherever I could to help me build up my experience.

Mini winter skincare review

I’ve had the pleasure of trying, what I believe, to be some of the best picks for your winter skincare routine from Drunk Elephant.  I would like to say that I am currently in postpartum mode ( 4 months ) and my skin has been looking and feeling all-over the shop, but mostly very dry.

Tom G James - Emerging Music Film Composer

What is your background?

When I was a child, a family friend was throwing out an old piano and my parents took the chance to get that and have it at home. I was only 3 years old, but I was fascinated by this weird piece of furniture that made loud sounds when I hit it with my hands.  In fact, I was so fascinated, when I was 4 years old, my parents arranged piano lessons for me and I loved it.  The only downside to that, was that I would wake up at 6am every morning before school and practice my piano very loudly! But on occasions I would also make them breakfast, so it wasn’t all bad.
